Established by Swiss pharmacist Jacob Schweppe in 1783, Schweppes is the oldest carbonated drinks brand in the world. The challenge was to capture the tonic's effervescent refreshment in an evolved identity that would sit comfortably in the world's style bars and cafes.
The beauty of Schweppes’ iconic structural design is its timelessness. Taking inspiration from its first ever bottle, distributed in an age when Schweppes was prescribed to those with indigestion, the sophisticated bottle reflects Schweppes’ heritage and compliments a premium adult beverage occasion.
The redesign was the recipient of a 2003 Shine Award, recognised for its excellence in glass packaging design. The new livery has been rolled out across the globe, extended to PET bottles and applied to various flavour innovations.
