Isklar presented bluemarlin with the rare opportunity to push the boundaries of structural and graphic design, and produce a bottle of stunning beauty.
Inspiration was taken directly from the source; the mountain glaciers of Hardanger, Norway. Embedded with regional cues, the new design features an ice cool palette, an elegantly jagged brand marque and a faceted structure the mirrors the prism effect of glaciers. Going above and beyond pure aesthetics, highly challenging and complex structural considerations were required to construct the dazzling 147 facets of Isklar’s unique bottle.
The results were colossal. Isklar gained national distribution in just one year despite heavy competition and expanded into further markets. Creatively it shone, picking up gold at the 2009 Pentawards, the Grand Prix accolade at the 2008 Water Innovation Awards, and a silver trophy at the 2009 DBA Design Effectiveness Awards.
