Leading Welsh brewer Brains embarked on a major rebrand of its cask ales portfolio as part of a wider plan to grow sales and market share throughout the UK. Recognising that design would be key to the brand’s future success, Brains sought to recapture its brand essence and redefine itself for a contemporary audience.
The updated design focuses on Brains’ heritage and what being Welsh means today. Bold typography and strong colour resonate pride and style at shelf, but the true power of the design is encapsulated in the details. A red dragon’s profile on the cap and a flickering tail framing the label express the brand's story, 'Here be Dragons'.
